Impact of ICE Presence on Local Businesses
North Star Deli, located in south Minneapolis, is facing significant challenges due to the heightened presence of ICE agents in the area. Owner Pedro Wolcott, a Latino U.S. citizen, reports that his workforce has dwindled to just two employees as many have stopped coming to work out of fear for their safety and that of their families. This situation has forced Wolcott to reduce the deli's operating hours and limits its safety after dark.
Despite never having been directly approached by federal agents, Wolcott believes they have surveilled the deli. He emphasizes the strength and resilience of his community, stating, "We're 10,000 strong," and calls for collective support during these difficult times. With uncertainty surrounding his ability to cover rent, Wolcott remains determined to keep the business afloat with the help of community members. He reflects on the importance of standing up for vulnerable individuals and expresses gratitude for the support received thus far.
Stars On Ice Fort Lauderdale Sport reviews
Excellent!
Loved the show but definitely miss having pairs. There's nothing like the excitement of big lifts, throws and other daring moves. That said, the quality and appeal of those on the ice in this show cannot be denied. What a treat to see one of my all-time favorites, Kurt Browning. Amazing. I love the energy of the skaters, and there is no doubt they are giving it their all when they perform. What a classy group of American stars. Many thanks to Musselman's for sponsoring this wholesome and unique event -- it's a perfect match for them. Keep Lindsey Wagner -- she's an outstanding talent and the most entertaining of the bunch.
